At Newcastle, we are drivers too.

Consider the following question...

What is a punter's biggest frustration?
a) claypot; or
b) jackpot but he didn't win any money.

I would say it is option B. Nobody likes claypot, but if your predictions turn out correct yet you didn't win as much as your prediction warrants, then that would be a much more painful ordeal. I told everybody I will be backing Inter in their clash against Roma. I went to the Singapore Pools outlet, drew up a $200 Inter 1x2 bet slip, and started queueing. But halfway through the wait, I walk out of the queue and crumbled the bet slip. Later that evening, after some tinkering, I make my way to a Singapore Pools outlet and placed $100 Inter 1x2 & $100 Newcastle 1x2.

My belief was Manchester City are overrated. Although Newcastle are the away team, but their odds of 3.50 flattened Manchester City. But what I fail to realise was, Newcastle is overrated as well. How can I back an overrated team to beat an overrated team?

1 more thing before I end this entry.

Newcastle have done well to come so far, they deserve some recognition for at least trying to 'look strong', although they were really only an overrated side. They would be joining the ranks of Manchester United and Chelsea in my HATE list. And may I swear, as of 1st October 2007 on, I will NEVER EVER bet Newcastle again.
