For your info: I am still alive

Hey! Forgive me for the quite lag replies and the 'promised-but-never-really-seem-to-materialise-new-post' okay? It is really becoming a chore to blog these days. Even on days when I have that extreme urge to expose the dirty singaporean acts I witness, that passion always escaped when I found my way to my next wireless session. Therefore, no passion; no urge; blog what? So lazy. And it is not like I was going to commend somebody - that I "scrooged" on praises. Unfortunately for me I didn't bump into any saints, I just chance upon some devilish acts.

Poor description of 'a-scene-I-witness' - purely in words only:

70 year old(I assume) uncle board the bus. The 40 year old man walking in front of him saw the unoccupied, convenient and roomy "door seat"; immediately(& unconsiderably) glues his butt to it. The uncle looks disappointed, but managed to make his way to the(apparently, were the only available seats) parallel-seats-facing-each-other; that were situated further in. In case you are wondering, I was seating at the parallel seats. The poor uncle could only changed to a face-the-front-seat a few stops later, when some passengers alighted. Meanwhile, the 40 year old man stood up, walk towards the driver, had a little conversation, then makes his way back to his(I have to emphasize, EXTREMELY ROOMY) seat. Wearing a smile, and coincidentally a short sleeve flowery shirt, he strikes a resemblance to a tourguide! Only except that he is on an SBS bus now. He was pacing up and down the throughout the entire journey that it look as though the big gap in front of his seat was designed to specially cater for him to move in and out of his seat.

Another-scene-I-witness:

Orchard Road; between Tangs and Orchard MRT - Wisma Atria exit. I was waiting for my bus at the bus stop in front of Tangs on a rainy weekday afternoon. I saw a few people jay-walking. Then more people followed. And it was not like it was only a handful, I saw 10-20, or maybe even more, people jaywalking during the 10mins I waited for my bus. And it was raining! Okay granted it was not a downpour, but surely it makes no sense to jaywalk when the underpass is less than 20 steps away? And some jokers even came out from the Orchard MRT(underpass) to cross that road(jaywalk). I think you know what I mean. They probably took the train to Orchard, then exit the escalator straight up, and cross the road to Tangs.

Well, that took place some weeks back but till today, I am still without a clue 'why those people jaywalk?' And I don't think I will ever understand. My best attempt to solve this challenging question perhaps; people jaywalk for the sake of jaywalking.
