Today,
No I didn't look into the mirror, nor did I see any ducks. I chose the topic because this whole entry is all about what I did today. Milan host Inter this morning, although I am not a fan of either side, but I do like both teams. I would definitely not miss this match if I do not have lessons the next day; if I do not have work commitments the next day; if I am an idler who rot my time away at home everyday.
But, I received a call from Lamer Lin last night, 'transfer $50 to me by 9am tomorrow, I will be booking out to go Tanglin Police Station to give statement..' So, I gave my Milan - Inter clash a miss, woke up at 7:50am, wash up, walk to Jurong Point to transfer the money, then walk home. By 10am, I laid on my bed and was about to fall asleep WHEN I RECEIVED A CALL, from Lamer Lin. '5pm then book in.. come out walk walk leh!' Now, I don't know what had got into me for me to agree, but I have to say I made a very bad choice. We arranged to meet 1pm at Orchard MRT. 12:30pm, Lamer Lin called my handphone 'I have finished the statement.. am on my way to Orchard.. where you?' Bad. I am still at home, although I am all ready and about to step out of my house.
I reach Orchard at 1:30pm; meet Lamer Lin, and he told me while waiting for me, he saw a Weny-lookalike. Anyway, we went for our lunch, and when we are done, it is already past 2pm. So we just 'walk around' Heeren, Ngee Ann City, & Wisma Atria. According to Lamer Lin, earlier when he book out, the duration of his journey from Sembawang to Tanglin Police Station took approximately 1 1/2 hours, so he have to leave by 3:30pm. Around 3:15pm, we left Orchard. And according to Lamer Lin again, 'since I have nothing to do', I should take the same train with him - to jurong east via woodlands. Well, maybe I have not recovered fully from my sickness, I was still in a stupor and stupidly agreed. The train reach Sembawang station at 3:50pm, I was further coaxed into alighting to la kopi with him at Sun Plaza. We went to Coffeebean, Lamer Lin went to order the drinks, the drinks came at 4pm.. and then? 'my bus stop quite far, let's take the drink and drink as we walk to my bus stop..' And oh my god! Lamer Lin really ming fu qi shi, he board the first bus that arrive at 4:15pm.
Today, I got lamed by Lamer Lin.
